SEASONS IN CANADA
Canada has four distinct seasons. Each season has its own beauty and is enjoyed
by the people in various ways. Canadians like outdoor activities. There are festivals,
carnivals and shows along with activities that enable you to explore the vast and
beautiful land.
Spring
On the west coast spring starts end of February. Elsewhere it begins in April and
usually extends
till June. This is the time for flowers and festivals.
Tulips have always been synonymous with spring in Canada. Canada’s capital city
Ottawa celebrates
the tulip season with The Canadian Tulip Festival. People come from all over the
world to see this
spectacular sight.
In British Columbia spring is early and this is the time for the beautiful cherry
blossoms.
This is also the time to celebrate the making of Canada’s most famous product, Maple
syrup. Quebec,
Ontario, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia are home to many maple syrup farms. During
March and April
these are opened to the public so that they can see the making of maple syrup.
Summer
In Canada summer is from late may to September, with July being the hottest month.
Canadians enjoy
these months of summer and go for camping, hiking, fishing etc. This is the best
time for newcomers
and visitors to go for sightseeing and take part in a wide variety of outdoor activities.
